Billed as the first art immersive hotel in the Maldives, Joali is a new five star boutique resort on the tiny island of Muravandhoo in Raa Atoll that’s as close to the dictionary definition of paradise as you’ll find. Opening last autumn at a cost of £78 million, Joali is a 45 minute seaplaneride from Malé and offers 73 luxury villas ranging from beach side suites to deluxe three bedroom apartments with twin pools. Each villa has a thatched roof and infinity pool as well as original artwork, while bespoke pieces by international artists can be found across the island. To add to its sophisticated charm, Joali also has a flower garden, art studio and whiskey lounge. You’ll never leave.
